“Jono’s recent visits to our school are nothing short of transformative. With his inspirational speeches, he has raised our children’s awareness of differences and the importance of acceptance. Jono, who has Treacher Collins syndrome, speaks candidly about embracing who you are and the impact of kindness. He shared his own experiences of being bullied as a child, yet his story is one of resilience and triumph.

Despite the challenges he faced, Jono holds his head high and never hides his appearance. His smile is infectious, and his determination to help others shines through in every word he speaks. Jono is a living testament to the power of positivity and perseverance, and his presence as a role model with a facial disfigurement is invaluable.

Jono’s ability to connect with our students was truly remarkable. He allowed them to confront and accept differences in a meaningful way. His personality, empathy, and genuine kindness resonated deeply, especially when he spoke with two of our looked-after children, relating to them through their shared experiences of being in care.

Our children were captivated by Jono, and his message of acceptance and kindness has left a lasting impression. He is an extraordinary human being whose influence will be felt long after his visit. We are profoundly grateful for the inspiration and positive impact Jono has brought to our school community”
